Let Thy Light So Shine Before Men…

Today, at church, we had a beautiful lesson about Job and what he went through and how he was able to overcome his trials and endure with faith.  I was feeling like I had been very blessed to be able to be there and hear this great lesson.  I was really enjoying listening and sitting there.

Then, out of the blue, the teacher asked if anyone would like to come up and sing, “I Know That My Redeemer Lives”.  My friend, sitting next to me, raised her hand and said, “Amy would like to do that.”  Then, she volunteered another lady, Claudette Parke to come and sing with me.  Claudette rounded up a hymn book so that we could have the words and then we started to sing.  After one verse, we sat down and I noticed that everyone I looked at was crying.  They asked us if we would please continue singing.  So, we got up and sang the rest of the song.  Claudette was easy to sing with.  It was like singing with my sisters.  She harmonized and blended so well.  Then, we sat down and people came and gave us hugs and tears were in everyone’s eyes.  It was very enjoyable to be part of something where I could be an instrument in the Lord’s hands and share the gifts he has given to me.   I am so grateful that my friend spoke up and said, “Amy would like to do that.”
