My Testimony

Today was fast and testimony meeting at church, which is like open mic.  It was such an inspiring, spiritual meeting and my tears were close a few times.  I didn’t take the chance to bear my testimony at church, so I thought I’d bear it online to you.

I used to think that I knew God lived and that I couldn’t be more sure about it.  But, then something would happen and I’d feel that witness even more clear and strong than before.  Well, today is like that.  I KNOW that God lives.  I feel like there’s no way I could know any more than I do today that He lives.  I know He loves me personally and is concerned about my life and my problems.  I know that He loves you the same way.

I know that Jesus Christ, is God’s only begotten Son and He is our Savior.  He died for us so that we could return to live with Him someday.  I am grateful for His atonement and I know that without it, there would be no point to this life.

I also know that The Book of Mormon is a true book.  I have read it many times and I feel the power of this awesome book every time I open it up.  I hope you have a copy of it and can read it, too.  If you need one, there is a link on this page that will get you a free copy delivered right to your door.  Sometimes I need to know God’s will about some problem I’m having or I need answers.  When I pray about it and read The Book of Mormon and The Bible, I get the answers I need.

Many people are searching for the truth.  They feel an emptiness inside that they cannot fill.  There’s just something missing in their lives and they can’t explain what it is.  I am glad that I have The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in my life.  It fills that void and completes my life.  I know it is the true church.  We have a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson, who directs this church as he is directed by Heavenly Father.  I have felt the spirit witness to me that he is a true prophet.

I know that sometimes, people can sound preachy or self righteous when they are trying to share their beliefs.  I hope I haven’t come across that way.  I just wanted to share with the world the feelings that are in my heart.  I am grateful for all that I have and feel that I have been blessed by God to have this testimony.  I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
