Streaming Conference From Official LDS Website

Today and tomorrow, I will be watching the October 2009 General Conference.    Many people watch this over the television, or by streaming conference from the official LDS website at www.lds.org.   There are also archives available if you miss the live streaming broadcast.  The conference goes today at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm Mountain Standard time and also tomorrow at 10:00 and 2:00.  Don’t worry if you missed it, it’s easily accessed by going to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints website.

This is a time that I always look forward to because of the uplifting messages that are given.  It is a time that I feel closest to my Father in Heaven.  The talks always feel like they are just for me.  It seems that the speakers have been given the exact messages that I need to hear at that period in my life.  I don’t know how that works because others have made similar comments.  I think that it’s because when we listen to the Lord’s servants speaking with the power of the Holy Ghost, the Holy Ghost will speak to our hearts and testify of what we need to learn.

So far, the talks have been about enduring through trials and afflictions, having faith, being obedient, living right, avoiding pornography and helping our kids to avoid it as well.  There have also been talks about repenting and returning to God.  I just love the gospel and the peace it brings to my heart to listen to conference and look at my life, making adjustments as necessary.

I would invite you to listen if you haven’t already watched or heard conference this time.  Even if you have heard it before, listening again will bring out something new that you didn’t hear before.

Please comment and let me know what you think of it.  What talks did you enjoy the most?  What questions do you have?  Is there anything that you would like explained?  Please comment and let me know.  If I can’t answer your question, I’d be happy to find someone who can.
